Description
The Network Hub provides the essential function of bridging various networks on the topside so devices can all talk together. Typically these devices include an ROV, a PC, an Omnitrack, and possibly other items such as a Wi-Fi radio or second PC controlling payloads via Ethernet.
In its base configuration (powering an Omnitrack or a Wi-Fi radio), the Network Hub can be powered entirely from a PC via the USB-C port. The Network Hub can also be powered from a battery bank (such as an iPhone external battery) via the USB-C port or from a 2.1mm DC barrel input connected to a battery or wall wart. The Network Hub includes an internal Fathom-type interface for a BlueROV tether, a PoE-enabled Binder 700 connector for a tethered Omnitrack, a USB-C connector for PC connectivity, and two Ethernet RJ-45 ports that can optionally be strapped to supply 24V passive PoE.
The Network Hub serves as a complete replacement for the BlueROV Fathom-X Tether Interface.
