The Omnitrack System

The Omnitrack System implements full fusion of DVL and USBL position data for high rate position update and zero long term drift. These features plus position hold and full SonarView Support are implemented and fully integrated for ROVs utilizing the open source ArduSub autopilot.

Cerulean Engineers are available, and ready to assist with integration into other ROV autopilot solutions.

Omnitrack Surface Module

Introducing the Omnitrack Surface Module, a complete top-side USBL deployment system. The Omnitrack Surface Module integrates the newest version of our proven ROV Locator technology, internal IMU, dual GNSS modules, rigid “T” frame, and Ethernet connectivity. The GNSS compass insures high heading accuracy, eliminates the tedious, time consuming, and error prone magnetic compass calibration and it is completely immune from magnetic interference.

The Omnitrack Surface Module T-frame folds and unfolds easily for transport and quick deployment. With optional floatation ring, deployment is quick and easy from a boat or a pier. Ethernet connectivity and 10-30V power is supplied over a single standard CAT5 or better cable.

A wireless option is available in an optional long-range Wi-Fi+power module. Also the BlueBoat can be leveraged for power and wireless connectivity with the optional BlueBoat mounting kit.

Simplex Version (ROVL Mk II)

The lowest cost variant uses simplex communication in which a transmit-only “pinger” is on the ROV, and the Omnitrack Surface Module has a receive-only USBL assembly. Automatic synchronization is accomplished via internal GNSS modules in each unit whenever they are out of the water.

Duplex Version (ROVL Mk III)

For even simpler and drift-free operation the Duplex version of the Omnitrack Surface Module utilizes a transceiver to send a ping to a transponder on the ROV and receive the response. No out-of-water synchronization is required.
