Omniscan 3D Overview For Integrators

Omniscan 3D System Overview

A key aspect of the Omniscan 3D architecture is that it is possible to upgrade any of the current Omniscan products to 3D capability by adding the new Omniscan 450 RX16 receive array module. In the block diagram above, we show the very popular Omniscan 450 SS, but it could equally be the Omniscan 450 FS or the Omniscan 450 Compact.

Referring again to the block diagram, in addition to the new OS 450 RX16 module, a Linux executable must be accommodated on an integrator supplied processor. This processor need not be dedicated – for example a processor load of about 10% can be expected on a Raspberry Pi 4B.

In the diagram above, the orange arrows indicate the logical data flow, while the black arrows indicate the physical connections. The components communicate with each other via the Ethernet switch, which is also integrator supplied.
