Subsea Positioning (Fall Draft)
Cost effective ROV positioning systems enabling explorers, researchers, and search & recovery around the world.
Subsea Positioning Family
The Cerulean subsea positioning products include the Tracker 650 DVL the ROV Locator USBL and the flagship Omnitrack USBL featuring integrate top side deployment frame with integrated GNSS compass. All products are fully supported with the Cerulean SonarView application.
All Omniscan and ROV Locator (ROVL) products feature a pinging device on the ROV (or other subsea asset) and a USBL (ultra short baseline) receive array on the top side to detect the 3 dimensional direction to the ROV. The time that the ping arrives at the top side USBL sensor determines the distance to the ROV.
Omnitrack and ROVL families differ in that Omnitrack is a full top side assembly with GNSS compass ready to deploy. ROVL is a lower cost solution for applications where magnetic compass calibration is not an issue and magnetic heading accuracy is not as important. The different models within the Omnitrack and ROV Locator families differ in how they maintain timing synchronization between the ROV and the top side.
Tracker 650 DVL can be used independently or as a supplement to a USBL system to provide high update rate velocity information for smooth seamless tracking of your ROV subsea position.
